Artist's Comments

This is the best single picture I have of the entire MLP tree scene. My husband and I made all the quilts, blankets and pillows under the tree and it took us an entire year to collect all that stuff. The most expensive thing in the pile....the tree itself. Everything was bought on sale, with coupons and found in thrift stores. At the Festival of Trees auction it sold for $1175. Not bad for scrimping and saving. :)

The whole thing actually cost us about that much in the first place. Hubby and I contributed half and my mom added the other half of the cost. There were much more expensive trees at the festival too, the most expensive was an entire babyroom with furniture and playthings for $11,000+, wow!

Nope, those are real ponies. The tree is 7.5' tall, so McD ponies would be dwarfed on that tree. The McD ponies are hiding in the stocking on the tree. :)

Well sure, there's plenty of room under the tree, all the presents are in front of it, lol. You can munch on the M&Ms in the pitcher on the table too. :) The October Breast Cancer Awareness Month was when everyone had pink ribbons on their packaging or turned something pink. M&M had an entire bag of pink M&M's for it, good for us when that tree is all pink and white. The tree was decorated the Monday after Thanksgiving.
